Stardust:
1. Like most of the other trailers i have analysed the name of the film is placed at the end of the trailer, it makes people want to carry on watching because they trailer is fun and exciting to watch, it urges people to wait and find out, and when we do it creates a magical effect on all the trailer because of it interesting, dynamic design (genre).
2. All the trailers released for this motion picture all presented the cast names differently, from this one it doesn't, most of the actors in this motion picture are recognizable to the public eye, it already makes people interested in the film because of the successful actors/actresses included, like: Claire Danes, Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ian McKellen, Ricky Gervais and Peter O' Toole.
3. The type of actions clips we are shown in this trailer are mostly magical, which include fights and locations, it's re-presentable to a children's fairy-tale book. It sparks up viewers imagination and intrigues to watch something which does look fun and exciting. It shows clips which use special-effects (CGI) and emphasis the genre of the movie.
4. The music of the trailer also goes with the genre, as it adds a magical, mystical effect to the story, it sells the films story and point.
5. The voice of the voice-over is a man, as what is said is done in a deep and strong voice and the speech/narration he is delivering sounds full of purpose and makes viewers listen to him, as he clearly states the main features of the film, and narrates it like a young teenager/children film.
6. The speed changes when the atmosphere of the trailer changes, when the clips are small and placed together in a neat and tidy sequence it creates an emphasis and a rush of excitement, it also creates the buzz the trailer really needs to achieve to make the film popular.
7. Like i've stated different trailers were produced and actors/crew names were shown differently , in this version of the trailer no actors and crew names were shown, only the title and the 'coming soon' logo were.
8. In my opinion the trailer is more effective then the trailer, but both intrigues us. The trailer shows the magical, action and exciting side of the film, it makes us feel part of it and want to be part of it. It sells the message and gets the point across to the viewer. But on the other hand the poster adds more emphasis on the mystery side of the film, it makes us interested but the visual create the impact that the film needs, it shows the characters names and crew (which the trailer didn't).
